ACOUSTIC PANEL BUILD
  • Cheap to make, Approximately $40 for a large panel 
  • Free standing & movable 
  • Wall mountable for permanent installation 
  • Can be hung like picture frames 
  • Removable from any space for dual purpose spaces like my living room 
MATERIALS 
  • Pine timber 18mm x 70mm/90mm 
  • Rock wool 
  • A few screws 
  • PVA glue 
  • Your choice of material to cover front
  • Cheap backing material 
  • Staples & staple gun  

TOOLS REQUIRED 
  • Electric drill, pilot drill bit & Phillips head bit  
  • Drop saw or hand saw
  • Yourself, the most important tool 

SUGGESTED ACOUSTIC PANEL POSITIONS FOR BASIC COVERAGE 


ASSEMBLY 

STEP#1 CUT YOUR PANEL FRAME - TO WHATEVER SIZE YOU LIKE 

Note you may need a cross brace too, depending on frame size



STEP#2 CUT SOME 45 DEGREE CORNERS TO SUPPORT THE FRAME 


STEP#3 CHECK EVERYTHING IS SQUARE BEFORE SCREWS & GLUE 




STEP#4 SCREW & GLUE & CHECK WITH SQUARE 






































STEP#5 COVER THE FRONT OF THE PANEL IN YOUR SELECTED FABRIC 
STEP#6 FLIP THE PANEL & INSERT YOUR ROCKWOOL 
STEP#7 COVER THE BACK OF THE PANEL IN YOUR SELECTED FABRIC
